The Z-550 bale wrapper is designed for wrapping pressed bales of grass, hay, and leguminous plants with approximately 60% moisture content. The material is wrapped using stretchable, self-adhesive polyethylene film with a width of 500 or 750 mm. The bale wrapper helps prevent nutrient loss and moisture evaporation from the forage.

The plant material is formed into cylindrical bales using round balers. The bales must not exceed a width of 1400 mm and a diameter of 1600 mm. The maximum permissible total weight of a bale is 1000 kg. During operation, the wrapper must be placed on a hard and level surface, to ensure proper machine stability.
